Grain Accumulation Manager Vic
Job Description: The Manager Accumulation is responsible for grain procurement, contract management, brand and product development and expansion of the ADM business at a regional level.
Your Responsibilities • Develop state accumulation plan with an emphasis on identifying business growth opportunities. • Identify and develop new grain purchasing initiatives to support achievement of the plan. • Manage key accounts and negotiates purchase contracts in order to achieve accumulation targets. • Identify and foster trading opportunities (sales) with new domestic end users to the ADM group. • Ensure grain contracts are written and executed in accordance with ADM contracting policies and GTA trade rules. • Maintain a level of contracting expertise via professional development courses. • Key interface between grower, grower agents and ADM administration, trading and logistics departments. • Integral in product development and brand marketing for ADM in Australia. • Represent and develop the ADM brand via grower forums, field days or industry events. • Identify opportunities to promote the ADM brand via print, radio and digital channels. • Collate and distribute weekly field crop and market report to ADM trading team. • Collate agronomy information for crop forecast and supply and demand purposes. • Develop and maintain information on competitor products and cash/pool pricing structures. • Manage and distribute contract and administration reports to grower agents. • Provide company commentary to media organisations when applicable. • Maintain a strong understanding of logistics (including freight movements, costs, issues and requirements) and how it links with business performance and uses this with negotiating and managing contracts. • Understand and applies the fundamentals of grain pricing, is familiar with market forces, supply and demand, international markets, futures and currency. • Foster grower and grower agent relationships as a function of achieving company accumulation targets. • All other tasks as directed or as required for the successful completion of the role. • Assist interstate ADM colleagues origination program on a needs basis.
Your Profile • Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture, Commerce or similar field AND/OR • Min five years Grain Marketing, Trading, Accumulation, Logistics or Storage and Handling experience. • Awareness of issues and influences within the states grain industry. • Solid understanding of grain markets, futures, foreign exchange and pool products. • Empathy for rural clients & knowledge of their business drivers. • Attention to detail, highly organised and self-motivated • Excellent communication and problem solving skills • Sound Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Excel. • Current, unencumbered drivers licence.
