Job Posting: GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The Systems Administrator Intern is responsible for the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, and overall quality of systems hardware and software. Infrastructure includes, but is not limited to, desktop and laptop computers, mobile phones, tablets, Microsoft Windows Active Directory, corporate email systems, end-user productivity software, and mobile applications.

This position requires a thorough intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating system, as well as an understanding of basic networking concepts. Troubleshooting will sometimes be unscripted and will require strong critical thinking skills.

As part of our team, you will identify problems within the environment and communicate and collaborate with other team members to resolve them. Because this position encompasses a support role, you will routinely communicate with internal customers through in-person interactions and email. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential and will be required on a daily basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Set up and maintain user accounts.

Provide Level 1 and Level 2 non-business-critical support.

Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support.

Provision, configure, and install new desktop and laptop systems.

Perform new site installations, including hardware and software deployment.

Configure and maintain Point of Sale (POS) software and peripherals.

Perform store refreshes and rewires.

Configure, maintain, and support enterprise mobile phones and tablets.

Support the JDA Workforce Management (WFM) system.

Support back-office systems.

Document all system changes in accordance with corporate policies.

Configure and maintain Active Directory accounts for new and existing users.

Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as computer systems, information technology, or a related discipline. Equivalent to four years of high school education, plus specialized training obtained through a trade, technical, extension, or correspondence school program equivalent to two years of college coursework; and two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
