BAE is looking for an experienced Program Manager (PGM) to manage a complex, enterprise impacting Global Trade technology program. The role will report into our IT Program Management Office (PMO), with deep engagement with stakeholders across BAE Systems business sectors. The PGM will be responsible for end to end execution of the Global Trade Technology Program, managing matrixed IT teams. The candidate will have strong program management experience managing multiple concurrent programs with several projects rolling up under each of the program. The candidate will be leading programs and projects through the project lifecycle including Planning and Analysis, Execution, Delivery, Stabilization and Benefit Realization.
Required Skills and Education: Program leadership in this role will include:
• Business case development. • Effective design and development of Portfolio, Program, Project (P3) execution strategies. • Cross boundary integration, dependency identification & tracking. • Effective leadership and program & project execution. • Develop solutions to complex problems which require use of ingenuity, innovation and robust design. • Management of requirements, priorities and alignment with organizational objectives & success criteria. • Work breakdown structure, effort estimation, resource loaded schedule management and execution to the strategy/plan, proactive risk identification and mitigation, • Team leadership including guiding and motivating team members, • Cost breakdown structure, cost estimation, cost management throughout the project lifecycle including management of cost overrun/underrun. • Quality / Test Management. • Vendor relationship management including working with third-party systems integrators • Organizational change management, communication, training, stakeholder engagement, enablement. The candidate shall be highly customer focused, meeting customer expectation and responsive to feedback. The ideal candidate will have experience in both IT and in leading complex business facing initiatives with the ability to drive technology adoption within BAE Systems business sectors. The candidate shall leverage servant leadership, emotional intelligence, strong communication and decision making skills to navigate effectively across all functional areas and organizational levels.
Preferred Skills and Education: • Experience driving enterprise standardization and transformation, with accountability to the executive level. • PMP Certification. • Agile Certification. • Aerospace & defense technology experience and familiarity with global trade concepts.
