Project Mgr II - Tech
Job Description: What’s it like to work at BAE Systems? It’s the feeling of knowing your leadership is directly securing the future of national defense on one of the most complex "mega-projects" in the world.
Join the Sentinel program, a cornerstone of national security and one of the largest acquisition efforts in DoD history. As a Project Manager II, you will build a long-term career leading critical workstreams to replace the aging Minuteman III weapon system. In this job, you will bridge the gap between technical execution and strategic goals to ensure the program meets its mission-critical milestones.
Your Responsibilities Your primary goal is to lead the acquisition lifecycle from planning through sustainment. Key functions include: * Planning: Developing project plans and coordinating with government agencies and contractors. * Oversight: Using Earned Value (EV) metrics to manage budgets and keep schedules on track. * Risk Management: Identifying potential challenges and implementing mitigation strategies. * Compliance: Ensuring all work meets DoD regulations (FAR/DFARS) and customer standards. * Leadership: Guiding cross-functional teams to optimize performance and delivery.
Who You Are You are an experienced leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and handles shifting priorities with ease. You are detail-oriented, customer-focused, and a strong collaborator. Why BAE Systems? We are a mission-focused partner to the USAF Nuclear Weapons Center and a six-time "Top Workplace" in Utah, known for a great culture and healthy work-life balance. Note: This position is 100% on-site at Hill AFB due to the classified environment.
