Job Description: In Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions, we provide next-generation threat detection and countermeasure solutions to provide unparalleled full spectrum electronic warfare capabilities to enhance mission survivability.
BAE Systems is seeking an experienced and energetic Program Engineering Manager (PEM) to contribute to our established and rapidly expanding engineering team in the CEMA Business Area. We are looking for a PEM who can coordinate and manage the engineering activities and is interested in a leadership role in a growing Product Line.
Responsibilities: • Serve as engineering focal point for all activity within the projects including strategic planning, bid and proposal support for engineering content, engineering strategy and integrated plans on programs, engineering staffing, issue reporting, and risk and opportunity management • Project execution leadership to technical team; plan, execute, and manage all engineering efforts within the project. This includes tailoring company processes and procedures to execute research programs • Partner and collaborate with program managers, functional engineering managers, subcontractors, and customers, and factories to ensure program goals, requirements, and needs are understood and achieved • Monitor project plans and execution to ensure technical and work scope requirements, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained • Effectively communicate with clear, concise messaging to teams and leadership

Required Skills and Education: • Active Secret Security clearance and ability to obtain SAP accesses • Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline, and at least ten years of experience in engineering development of complex electronic systems • Experience leading diverse multi-disciplinary teams in the solution of complex technical problems • Experience leading hardware development projects in a defense environment including organizational design, planning, estimating, design management, and product verification • Experience using Design to Cost (DTC) methods; leading to technical solutions that meet affordability and producibility requirements
Preferred Skills and Education: • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and cost account management (CAM) experience • Familiarity with development of EO/IR products for military applications (lasers, cameras, sensors, pointers)
