JOB TITLE The Commercial Manager - Grocery | MAF Retail | Head Office KSA
ROLE SUMMARY The Commercial Manager - Grocery is responsible for developing and executing category strategies that drive sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction across Grocery categories. The role leads supplier partnerships, commercial negotiations, assortment planning, pricing, promotions, and category performance management while ensuring product availability and delivering sustainable business growth.
ROLE PROFILE
• Develop and execute the commercial strategy for Grocery categories to deliver sales, margin, market share, and growth targets. • Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, joint business plans, and commercial agreements. • Drive category performance through assortment optimization, pricing strategies, and promotional planning. • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities. • Analyze sales, profitability, stock levels, and category KPIs to support data-driven decisions. • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing, and Store teams to ensure product availability and successful execution. • Identify and develop strategic supplier partnerships while ensuring quality, compliance, and cost efficiency. • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction, category performance, and profitability.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience managing Grocery categories within a retailer, hypermarket, supermarket, e-commerce, or FMCG environment. • Strong knowledge of packaged food, beverages, household, and grocery market dynamics. • Proven experience in supplier negotiations, commercial planning, and category management. • Strong analytical skills with experience in sales, margin, pricing, and promotional performance analysis. • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and commercial acumen with advanced Excel proficiency.y
