Summary: This position independently operates ultrasound equipment to produce quality diagnostic echocardiography to ensure optimal patient care.This position may require frequent travel to alternative locations. Responsibilities: * Perform inpatient and outpatient diagnostic cardiac sonograms in accordance with the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) guidelines for digital image acquisition. * Perform advanced echo imaging including echo guidance for interventional procedures, such as ECMO, LVAD, ASD devices, Balloon Septostomy, and PCE taps. * Assist with intraoperative TEE. * Responsible for performing, archiving and and calculations of all pediatric cardiac ultrasound imaging by using appropriate machine optimization, probe selection and patient positioning. * Utilize critical thinking skills and a segmental approach while imaging to produce diagnostic high-quality studies in normal to complex congenital heart defects. * Participate fully in call schedule including satellite areas. * Participate in biweekly educational echo conferences and clinical research studies. * Preceptor for students and fellows. * Participate in quality improvement activities.

EDUCATION * Bachelors Degree Preferred * Associates Degree Essential Echocardiography Required
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS * Reg Diagnostic Medical Sonographer-2A-RDMS Essential Certified in Pediatric Echo by ARDMS or CCI (ARDMS is preferred over CCI) * Basic Life Support-2R-BLS Essential Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements
