Job Title: Inside Sales RepresentativeJob DescriptionThis Inside Sales Representative role is based in Fort Lauderdale, FL with one of the largest independent wholesale distributors of low voltage electronic security, fire, CCTV, access control, home automation, and commercial and residential sound systems. You will work in an inside distribution and sales capacity, supporting a business-to-business dealer network, guiding customers to the right technical solutions, and contributing to the growth of the branch. The position offers strong potential for career development and advancement within the organization.Responsibilities

• Learn all aspects and responsibilities of the wholesale distribution model used by the organization. • Sell low voltage security products in alignment with established policies, principles, and procedures. • Conduct in-person, over-the-counter sales interactions with the dealer network. • Handle telephone sales calls and inquiries from business customers and dealers. • Assist customers in selecting the most appropriate products and solutions for their specific applications and projects. • Stay current with the latest products, technologies, and solutions manufactured by vendor partners. • Establish, develop, and maintain excellent customer relationships to drive repeat business and customer loyalty. • Manage relationship-based, business-to-business customer service interactions and follow up consistently on quotes, orders, and inquiries. • Operate effectively in a branch environment that functions like a full retail store, supporting multiple tasks and priorities. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing, inventory coordination, and customer satisfaction. • Use computer-based systems and tools to enter orders, look up product information, and support technology and IT-related sales. • Demonstrate a positive, professional attitude in all customer and team interactions. Essential Skills

• 1–2 years of relationship management and customer service experience in a business-to-business environment. • Proven sales and customer service experience, preferably in an inside sales or distribution setting. • Technical sales experience with low voltage security products is required. • Ability to follow up consistently with customers and prospects to support ongoing sales and service. • Strong multitasking skills and the ability to operate effectively in a branch environment that runs like a full store. • Comfort using computers and technology in a sales setting, including basic IT or network-related concepts. • Ability to learn and retain detailed product information across security, fire, CCTV, access control, home automation, and sound systems. • Strong verbal communication skills for in-person and telephone sales interactions. • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to building and maintaining long-term relationships. • Positive, professional attitude and willingness to take initiative. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Sales and customer service experience is preferred. • IT, computer, or computer network experience or education is beneficial. • Experience in technology sales or computer sales is an advantage. • Industry experience in low voltage security, fire, CCTV, access control, home automation, or sound systems is ideal. • Ability to quickly learn new products and stay current with vendor offerings. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing orders and customer information. Work EnvironmentThis is an inside distribution and sales position based in a branch environment that operates like a full retail store, serving a business-to-business dealer network. You will work approximately 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role is office and counter-based, using computer systems and technology tools to support sales, customer service, and product selection. The environment is fast-paced and customer-focused, with regular interaction with dealers, vendors, and internal team members, and offers clear potential for growth within the organization. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
