About this role

Job Title: ControllerJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Controller to lead the financial close and reporting processes. This role involves managing the full monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements, and preparing monthly management reports. The Controller will also lead the annual budget process and support business partnering and analysis, working closely with the site management team. Responsibilities • Own and execute the full monthly close process, including preparation and posting of accruals and provisions. • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of the general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L reports. • Prepare and submit the monthly management report, including variance analysis and commentary. • Compile the monthly site report covering financial performance, KPIs, and operational highlights. • Implement and enforce internal controls and accounting policies in compliance with Group standards. • Lead and coordinate the annual budget process, working closely with the Site General Manager and department heads. • Prepare budget packages and presentations for submission to Group HQ. • Serve as the primary Finance business partner to the Site General Manager and the site management team. • Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making. • Identify cost trends, risks, and opportunities, and communicate findings to leadership. • Support capital expenditure analysis, investment requests, and cost reduction initiatives. • Directly manage and support a team of 2 accountants, ensuring continuity of day-to-day Finance operations. • Provide on-the-job coaching and clear direction to direct reports. Essential Skills • Hands-on experience in month-end close, financial reporting, and financial statement preparation. • Proficiency in Power BI, accounting, finance, and ERP systems (site uses IQMS). • Strong technical accounting skills with solid knowledge of US GAAP. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Self-starter with the ability to operate independently and prioritize effectively. • Experience managing or mentoring small finance teams. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. • CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification is preferred. • Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in Finance, Controlling, or Accounting. • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is strongly preferred. • Experience reporting to a European parent company or working within a multinational corporate structure. • Budget ownership experience, having led or co-led an annual budgeting cycle. Work EnvironmentThis position is fully onsite in Germantown, WI, with standard hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. Some overtime may be required to ensure job completion. The work environment involves collaboration across time zones and with international stakeholders. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Germantown, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70.00 - $75.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
