Join IAG and help make the world a safer place as a Workers Compensation Underwriter. Working closely with our Underwriting and New Business Teams, you will manage an existing portfolio of brokers, underwriting renewals and new business opportunities while ensuring strong risk selection. You'll also manage policy adjustments and respond to broker and customer queries, delivering timely, accurate outcomes and excellent customer experiences. You'll collaborate with claims, credit services and partners to support portfolio performance and strengthen key relationships. This role suits a commercially minded person who enjoys analysing risk, building relationships and contributing to business performance, while upholding compliance, integrity, wellbeing and inclusion in everything you do. This is a permanent full-time role based in Boorloo (Perth). What You'll Do
• Underwrite Workers Compensation opportunities for an existing portfolio of brokers. • Process and manage renewals, policy adjustments and associated underwriting documentation. • Respond to broker and customer enquiries, providing timely and accurate solutions. • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders. • Work closely with the Renewal and New Business Teams to achieve profit, growth and retention targets. • Apply sound underwriting judgement to ensure appropriate risk selection and pricing outcomes. • Collaborate with claims, credit services and other internal teams to deliver quality customer outcomes. What You'll Bring
• Workers Compensation Underwriting experience or exposure is desirable. • General Insurance experience is essential. • Strong relationship building skills. • Previous teamwork experience. • Strong negotiation skills. • Good verbal and written communication skills. What We Offer
