Job Description Engineer 2, Disciplinary Engineering and Science - Materials Science Join our Baker Hughes Team! Partner with the best As an Engineer 2, Disciplinary Engineering and Science - Materials Science, you will be responsible for:

• Material Analysis and Testing of various components as per the quality standards and specifications. • Work with multidisciplinary teams and vendors related to lab operations that include equipment related issues solving, consumable sourcing, calibrations & HSE activities. • Perform metallographic sample preparation, microscopy with image analysis, hardness, surface roughness measurements & material heat treatments as per the International and BH specifications. • Create and maintain Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, Job Risk Analysis for the lab processes. • Review of vendors’ special process procedures and perform technical evaluation to ensure the quality of the products meet the respective global standards such as ASTM, ASME etc., and BH internal standards. • Review Global Repair documents to ensure the quality standards stipulated by the specific component and process specifications. Recommend the best repair process flow sequence of the components that can increase productivity during repair cycle. • Actively participate in HSE lab audits and work on providing safe working lab place and environment based on audit findings. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will:

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering from an accredited university with 1-2 years of work experience on specified roles and responsibilities. • In depth understanding within metallurgy, materials and processes such as thermal spray coatings, castings, forming, forging, heat treatment, etc. • In depth understanding of metallographic techniques, microscopy, mechanical testing. Experience in Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM)-Electron Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) is preferred. • Familiar with relevant industry standards (ISO, ASME, ASTM etc.). • Familiar with ISO 17025/ NABL accreditation for the Metallurgical and Mechanical Lab Certification. • Strong oral and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong customer mind-set • Self-motivated and able to work independently and in teams Work in a way that works for you We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
