Job Title: Safety Specialist - IIJob DescriptionJoin a dynamic team as a Safety Specialist - II, where you will be instrumental in ensuring the safety and health of personnel on major construction projects. This position offers an opportunity to directly impact project outcomes through safety assessments, training, and program coordination. Responsibilities • Periodically conduct comprehensive safety assessments and recommend corrective measures for unsafe conditions to project management. • Provide training and education to personnel on safety requirements and suggest advancements to materials. • Assist project management in coordinating safety and health of subcontractor, vendor, and owner personnel, ensuring project safety programs are aligned. • Conduct accident investigations and complete incident reporting for project management review. • Establish hospital and clinical care facilities for each project. • Accompany injured employees to treatment and medical evaluations, ensuring all safety protocols are followed. • Advise project management on industrial hygiene protocols and perform environmental monitoring. • Administer the company's Drug-Free Workplace Policy, ensuring proper testing for various situations including pre-employment, vehicle authorization, and post-accident. • Facilitate orientation for all project employees on company-required safety practices. • Provide weekly safety updates to the Regional Safety Manager. • Administer the corporate SPAT process on assigned projects. Essential Skills • Expertise in safety, construction, and construction safety practices. Additional Skills & Qualifications • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred. • CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) Certification preferred. • Less than 3 years of experience in the construction safety field. Work EnvironmentThe role requires some travel between job sites and occasional office work. Candidates should be prepared to stand, walk, sit, and climb stairs or ladders. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Tampa, FL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.• Project Bonus that you can receive every time 25% is complete • 2 weeks of PTO, then you accrue hours. • Holiday Pay is standard • Full Benefits and Good benefits, 401k • Will pay for / reimburse certificates if someone is interested • Company Vehicle?
