Job Title: Production ManagerJob DescriptionThe Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the mill, ensuring maximum throughput and yield while maintaining safety and environmental standards. This role involves managing maintenance, budget, employee relations, materials, supplier relationships, continuous improvement, customer relations, and ensuring overall plant profitability.Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day mill operations to assure maximum throughput and yield. • Ensure adherence to safety and environmental practices. • Oversee maintenance and budget management. • Cultivate positive employee and labor relationships. • Manage materials and supplier relations. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives. • Maintain strong customer relations. • Assure overall profitability of plant operations. Essential Skills
• Experience in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. • Proficiency in production management and mechanical engineering. • Strong skills in process improvement and steel manufacturing. • Excellent communication skills. • Ability to focus on safety, quality, throughput, and cost reduction. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Preferred experience in steel manufacturing, especially in pipe/tube manufacturing or welded steel products. • Familiarity with ERW (Electric Resistance Welded) operations. • Preferred degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering. • Understanding of machine operation, mechanical systems, and stress/pressure concepts. • Experience in continuous improvement techniques such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and Root Cause Analysis. • Proficiency in data analytics, including KPI management, trend analysis, defect reduction, and OEE/efficiency tracking.
