Job Title: Electrical ForemanJob DescriptionThe Electrical Foreman leads field electrical operations on construction projects and ensures that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role oversees electricians and subcontractors, coordinates materials and schedules, and ensures compliance with all relevant electrical codes and project specifications. Responsibilities • Lead day-to-day field electrical operations on commercial, multifamily, and mixed-use construction projects. • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications to plan and execute work accurately. • Supervise, mentor, and manage electricians and subcontractors on-site to ensure high-quality workmanship and productivity. • Coordinate material orders, deliveries, and inventory to maintain project schedules and minimize downtime. • Conduct regular job walks and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to project plans. • Complete daily reports, safety reports, inspection documentation, and look-ahead schedules in a timely and accurate manner. • Promote and enforce safe work practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety policies. • Assist with employee evaluations, performance feedback, and crew development to support team growth. • Communicate effectively with project managers, superintendents, clients, and field personnel to address issues and keep stakeholders informed. • Ensure all electrical work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements and California Title 24 standards. • Train and mentor team members to develop their technical skills, safety awareness, and overall performance. • Support budgeting, scheduling, and material management efforts to help projects stay on time and within scope. • Use construction management tools, including Procore and office software, to document work and support project administration. Essential Skills • Valid California General Electrician License. • Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial, multifamily, or mixed-use construction. • 3–5 years of supervisory or foreman experience with an electrical contractor. • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications. • Proficiency in electrical installation and construction practices, including multifamily construction environments. • Working knowledge of NEC codes and California Title 24 requirements. • OSHA 30 Certification. • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to direct and motivate field teams. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. • Ability to work in a physically demanding construction environment, including lifting up to 75 lbs., climbing ladders, and working at heights. • Demonstrated ability to manage scheduling, material coordination, and compliance on active job sites. • Experience promoting and enforcing safe work practices and proper PPE usage. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience using Procore or similar construction management software. • Background in budgeting, scheduling, and material management for electrical projects. • Proven ability to conduct job walks, inspections, and quality control checks. • Experience completing daily reports, safety reports, and inspection documentation. • Track record of mentoring and developing electricians and field staff. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced construction environment. Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a field construction environment focused on commercial, multifamily, and mixed-use projects. The Electrical Foreman spends most of the time on active job sites, coordinating crews, inspecting work, and managing materials and schedules. The position involves regular physical activity, including lifting up to 75 lbs., climbing ladders, working at heights, and navigating various areas of the construction site. You will use tools such as Procore and other construction management platforms, along with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, to support documentation and communication. The work environment emphasizes strict adherence to safety practices and consistent use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while on site. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Healdsburg, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
