Job Title: Metrology Technician (Level 1 or 2)Job DescriptionThis Metrology Technician role supports process technology teams by running metrology processes, selecting and executing appropriate metrology recipes, and ensuring accurate wafer measurements on a back-end night shift schedule. The technician works closely with shift supervisors and process engineers, follows documented standard operating procedures, and maintains a strong focus on quality, precision, and detail. • Run metrology processes to support process technology teams and ensure accurate wafer measurements. • Select and load the correct metrology recipes on metrology tools based on instructions from process engineers or technicians. • Load wafers into metrology tools, monitor tool operation, and complete measurement runs according to standard operating procedures. • Provide measurement results and relevant data back to process technicians for subsequent process steps. • Collect measurement data using SharePoint and prepare clear pass-down reports for the next shift and for process engineers. • Communicate with the shift supervisor to provide estimated times for tool release, update on shift operations, and report abnormal events or issues. • Document and strictly follow standard operating procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance. • Track and report daily activities through verbal updates and written pass-down documentation to ensure continuity between shifts. • Collaborate with the metrology team to provide coverage for metrology tasks across the entire lab. Essential Skills
• Experience working with metrology tools such as KLA Tencor SP1, SP3, SP5, XRF, and S100, or similar metrology equipment. • Ability to select and run appropriate metrology recipes to measure wafers accurately. • Cleanroom experience and ability to work effectively in a controlled lab environment. • Strong attention to detail, with verification through references. • Ability to follow and document standard operating procedures accurately. • Effective communication skills to interact with shift supervisors, process technicians, and process engineers. • Capability to track, collect, and manage data using tools such as SharePoint. • Experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing or lab environment. • Demonstrated ability to work effectively on night shifts and maintain focus over extended hours. • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and shift handovers. • Interest in building a long-term career in metrology and semiconductor process support. • Ability to work collaboratively within a metrology team to ensure full lab coverage. Work EnvironmentThis role is based within a metrology team in a semiconductor lab environment, providing coverage for metrology tasks across the entire lab. The position follows a back-end night shift schedule from Thursday to Saturday and alternating Wednesdays, working from 6:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Work takes place in a cleanroom setting using metrology tools such as KLA Tencor SP1, SP3, SP5, XRF, and S100, with frequent use of data systems like SharePoint for documentation and pass-down reporting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Tualatin, OR. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
