Responsibilities • Lead the creation of high-level drawings using CAD software for new technologies and components, ensuring fit, form, and specification. • Establish and guide project teams to meet development targets and schedules, coordinating resources and communicating project status. • Develop advanced ideas to improve competitiveness through product features and technologies or factory efficiency. • Support or lead market quality initiatives and utilize problem-solving methods for root cause analysis. • Develop and implement corrective measures and lead recurrence prevention efforts. Essential Skills • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field. • Over 12 years of engineering experience, preferably in powersports or power equipment. • Strong project leadership experience with a focus on independent project management. • Proficiency in high-level CAD software, preferably Catia, with experience in 2D/3D layouts, FTA, and FMEA. • Expertise in cost management using cost simulation software or cost tables. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with other CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo is acceptable. • Familiarity with various manufacturing processes including stamping, plastic injection, and die casting. • Degree flexibility: Candidates with significant experience may be considered without a degree. • Understanding of engineering standards and regulations. Work EnvironmentThe role primarily involves desk work with frequent keyboarding, but may require limited kneeling, standing, or bending. Travel is project-dependent and may include overseas trips. The environment includes typical office and shop settings, with potential exposure to explosives, flammables, and pressurized equipment. Overtime may be required based on project demands. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $48.60 - $60.72/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
