Project Manager (Cincinnati)Job DescriptionThis role oversees automation, controls, and manufacturing projects for industrial customers. The Project Manager serves as the primary liaison between clients, engineering teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required technical and quality standards. You will drive the full project lifecycle from kickoff through completion while maintaining strong customer relationships and high levels of satisfaction.Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle, including defining and controlling project scope, budget, schedule, and resource planning for multiple concurrent projects. • Lead client meetings and project review sessions to align expectations, clarify requirements, and provide clear status updates. • Coordinate the work of internal engineering teams, subcontractors, and customer stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and integration. • Monitor project performance and financial metrics, including costs, progress, and profitability, and take corrective actions when needed. • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, and develop mitigation plans to minimize impact on schedule, budget, and quality. • Manage change orders by documenting changes in scope, evaluating cost and schedule impacts, and obtaining appropriate approvals. • Ensure successful project completion by overseeing commissioning, testing, and handover activities, and confirming that all technical and contractual requirements are met. • Maintain strong customer relationships throughout the project, responding promptly to questions or concerns and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. • Support multiple projects simultaneously in automation, controls, manufacturing, and industrial environments, prioritizing tasks and resources effectively. • Collaborate closely with controls and automation engineers to align project plans with technical requirements involving PLCs, HMI systems, and systems integration software. Essential Skills

• Proven project management experience in manufacturing, automation, industrial, or engineering environments. • Demonstrated experience managing technical projects involving automation, controls, or systems integration. • Strong customer-facing communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings, present project status, and manage stakeholder expectations. • Ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively across multiple simultaneous projects. • Experience working within industrial automation, controls, manufacturing, or engineering project environments. • Familiarity with PLC programming and control systems, including platforms such as Allen-Bradley and Siemens. • Familiarity with HMI systems and industrial drawings, including interpreting and working with electrical and control schematics. • Experience with systems integration software and controls engineering concepts. • Industrial automation experience in a project-based environment. • Background in controls engineering or manufacturing. • Experience working with system integrators on complex automation or controls projects. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• PMP certification or equivalent formal project management credential. • Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams and subcontractors. • Exposure to both Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLC platforms. • Experience with systems integration projects involving PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems. • Ability to analyze project financials and performance metrics to support business goals. Work EnvironmentThis position operates in an industrial automation and manufacturing project environment, working closely with engineering teams, system integrators, and customer facilities. You will engage with technologies such as PLCs (including Allen-Bradley and Siemens), HMI systems, systems integration software, and industrial control equipment. The role involves a mix of office-based project coordination and interaction with plant or shop-floor environments where automation and controls systems are installed and commissioned. Work hours generally follow standard business schedules, with flexibility required to support critical project milestones, client meetings, and site activities as needed Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41.00 - $56.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
