Purpose of the Job: To drive production activities for Armagel AXG product lines ensuring achievement of production targets with optimum utilization of resources, adherence to highest Safety & quality standards, and continuous improvement in productivity, yield, and cost. Ensure adherence to WCM / WAM.
Key Dimensions: Material Loss Reduction / Yield Improvement: As per Budget OEE / Productivity WCM / WAM Activities: As per plan, Active participation in OE Pillar, EWO, QK, SOP, OPLs etc. Executing Projects PAP Project execution: To deliver savings from Vale Added lines by improving efficiencies 5S Implementation
Description of main tasks: The Incumbent is responsible for the following tasks:
Safety, Compliance & 5S Ensure strict discipline on safety Define SOPs, ensure adherence. PPE, EHS tags must be followed. Develop and adhere Risk Assessment, HIRA, Aspect/Impact documentation Ensure compliance with statutory and company requirements Ensure no Safety incident should happen. Close all the incidents with SRCAs.
Production Coordination & Execution Coordinate daily production activities to meet production plans Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machines, and materials Support and Guide shift team in execution and ensure smooth shift operations Monitor line performance and take corrective actions to meet targets
KPI Monitoring & Delivery Track and drive key performance indicators such as: OEE / Productivity Yield and Scrap Reduction OTIF Adhering SLA Identify losses in Process and execute the Projects to reduce those Drive WCM / WAM initiatives
Quality & Process Control Ensure adherence to SOPs, control plan and process parameter Deliver superior Quality products Support Trials, Process Stabilization, New Product Development
Cross-Functional Coordination Maintenance for breakdowns and preventive maintenance Quality/Lab/Process for trials, approvals, and process control SCM/Planning for production scheduling and material availability Vendors: For all requirements
People & Shift Support Ensure manpower planning and allocation Develop AIT team, lead AIT programme Ensure Safety and Discipline compliance. To communicate effectively and assertively to avoid conflicts at workplace. Support Shift Leaders with relieving Plan contract Manpower
Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimization Drive Yield improvement Initiatives Headcount optimization Kaizen and WCM / WAM initiatives Execute PAP Projects
Reporting & Documentation Prepare and maintain daily production reports Prepare and circulate weekly / monthly Value-Added lines performance Ensure the regular Posting of transactions in ERP system (SAP)
Job Specifications
Professional Education Diploma/BE in any Engineering Mechanical/Production/Chemical field. Professional Experience (how long)?
3 - 5 Yrs In which areas? Experience in the role of Shift Leader in a Chemical Manufacturing unit is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
• Strong execution and coordination skills • Problem-solving and analytical ability • People management and teamwork • Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing / continuous improvement • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Knowledge of SAP or production reporting systems preferred • Ability to work in shifts and handle shopfloor challenges • Result-oriented and proactive approach
Language skills English, Hindi, Marathi or any other Indian Language.
Comments / Additional requirements Experienced in dynamic and fast-paced work environments. Experience in SAP would help Required to work in 3 shifts including night shift
