Job Description The Global Capital Solutions team focuses on liabilities sourcing and financing, as well as asset sourcing and strategic counterparty relationships across the Ares platform.

Ares is seeking an Associate / Senior Associate for its Structured Product Surveillance & Analytics team focusing on US Broadly Syndicated Loan (BSL) CLOs. The Surveillance Team is part of the Ares’ Global Capital Solutions team, a centralized platform function focused on securing favorable financing terms and execution across the firm.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the ongoing monitoring and management of BSL CLO portfolios, supporting transaction surveillance, compliance testing, portfolio analytics, investor reporting and strategic risk management activities.

Primary functions and essential responsibilities

• Support recurring monitoring of CLO portfolios and warehouses, including determination date files, monthly reports, payment date reports, waterfall files, data files, collateral files, cash files, and pending trade files. • Generate portfolio analytics and summary information for direct consumption by PM and senior management teams • Generate and oversee firm wide and investor specific requests specific to Ares BSL CLOs including par build, defaulted and distressed detail, historical test performance, returns and market value calculations, and other platform-level surveillance reports. • Coordinate documentation, data, and review processes for effective dates, resets, refinancings, new issues, and all related diligence procedures. • Monitor and coordinate all deal related financing activity, including initial equity/first-loss funding, repayments and borrowing requests, asset settlements and trade activity • Review and coordinate approval of waterfalls, payment reports, invoices, trustee fees, management fees, expense caps, reserve account movements, redeemed CLO distributions, and other cash-flow items. • Prepare and validate materials for DDQs, investor requests, board packages, rating agency questions, internal reporting, and external diligence reviews. • Initiate and support projects related to the strengthening of the global CLO platform. Such initiatives may include reporting enhancements, data validations, streamlined workflows and automation initiatives.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, or a related analytical field.

Experience Required: Familiarity with securitized products in general and specifically the CLO market is largely preferred but not required. Experience in asset management, investment operations or investor relations, and related financial services roles including the leveraged loan or high yield credit market is preferred.

General Requirements:

• Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and ability to reconcile data across trustee reports, collateral files, internal systems, transaction documents, and external diligence materials. • Advanced Excel skills required; experience with SQL, Python, dashboards, data feeds, model QA, or workflow automation preferred. • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to coordinate across portfolio management, legal, operations, accounting, IT/data, trustees, administrators, consultants, and external counterparties. • Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive workflows, escalate issues appropriately, and operate independently while maintaining strong team coordination. • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with demonstrated ability to support reporting, transaction, diligence, and operational workstreams in parallel.

Reporting Relationships Managing Director, Capital Solutions Compensation The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.

$110,000.00 - $150,000.00
