Job Description: Essential Duties and Responsibilities We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior accountant. Primarily you will assist management with the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting ensuring adherence to US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and leading team projects.
Duties include:
• Create and submit journal entries for approval with supporting documentation • Reconcile complex accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance • Analyze financial records for discrepancies and make necessary corrections if necessary • Provide timely feedback to Staff and Junior Accountants • Work cross functionally with other departments as needed • Training junior team members • Ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements for Anticimex, Turner and other standard accounting procedures • Proficient knowledge of accounting software programs • Preparing annual budgets Ideal candidates will:
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification seeking or obtained
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or another related field
• Have at least 5 years of accounting experience • Ability to review workpapers prepared by junior staff • Ability to work independently • Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing results as needed • Have strong mathematical and analytical skills • Be proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software • Have excellent oral and written communication skills • Be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously • Demonstrate ability to lead a team • Excellent attention to detail • Be willing to continuously strive to further knowledge and experience • Be well-organized
