About this role

The Psychology Department at Saint Anselm College seeks a laboratory technician to fill a part-time position for the 2026-2027 academic year (20-25 hours per week/32 weeks per year) to assist in the implementation and maintenance of research labs. Duties will include:

• maintaining and administering a human subject pool program for use by our majors and department faculty • creating and conducting laboratory modules for a rotating selection of research method courses • coordination and maintenance of computer hardware and software for observational data, psychophysiological measures, and reaction time studies • updating and providing student training for such equipment (e.g., eye tracker) • creating and maintaining a database of measures (e.g., surveys, cognitive tests) for student research projects • ordering and maintaining supplies for laboratory modules

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required. • Must be computer-literate and have a working knowledge of a statistical software such as SPSS, JASP, SAS, as well as creating surveys such as using Qualtrics or Google forms. • Successful applicants will have additional experience or willingness to learn Unreal, Unity Engines, or managing developer identities in game design programs.
