Veterinary Technician Supervisor Sequist Animal Hospital Morristown, Vermont

About the Role The Technician Supervisor plays a critical role in supporting daily operations, elevating medical standards, and developing the technician team. You will work closely with hospital leadership to ensure:
• Strong clinical workflows • Consistent training and skill development • A collaborative, respectful team environment • High-quality patient care and client experience
What You’ll Do
• Lead and support the technician team throughout the day (this is a working supervisor role) • Create and maintain technician schedules, assignments, and workflow efficiency • Train, mentor, and develop team members at all skill levels • Ensure adherence to medical protocols, safety standards, and compliance (DEA, controlled substances, etc.) • Partner with DVMs and leadership team members to support efficient, high-quality patient care • Drive accountability while fostering a positive, team-first culture • Support hospital initiatives, software transitions, and process improvements • Assist with inventory, equipment oversight, and surgical flow • Participate in marketing initiatives
Who You Are
• A strong veterinary technician with leadership experience or readiness to step into leadership • Passionate about teaching, coaching, and developing others • Organized, solution-oriented, and confident in decision-making • Able to balance team support with accountability and performance standards • Comfortable navigating change and helping teams adapt (especially with new systems and workflows) • A positive, “let’s figure it out” mindset with strong communication skills
Qualifications
• 3+ years of veterinary technician experience required • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred • Strong technical skills (surgery, anesthesia, patient care, workflow coordination) • Knowledge of compliance standards (controlled substances, medical documentation, etc.) • Experience with PIMS and other veterinary software (EzyVet, VetSnap etc.) is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
