The Opportunity
The Lead Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting business applications and technology solutions. The role works closely with business users and technical teams to deliver reliable, secure, and efficient systems that support company operations. As a senior member of the team, the Software Engineer 3 provides technical guidance, solves complex problems, promotes best practices, and helps drive innovation through modern technologies, automation, and AI-enabled solutions.
What You Will Do
• Analyze business requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and system integrations.
• Enhance and optimize existing applications to improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and system issues.
• Develop and maintain databases, reports, and data-related solutions.
• Ensure software applications meet quality, security, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with business users, project teams, and other technology groups to deliver solutions.
• Participate in solution design, technical reviews, and project planning activities.
• Review code and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and support materials.
• Support software releases, system upgrades, and production deployments.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency.
• Utilize modern technologies, including cloud services and AI tools, to improve productivity and business outcomes.
• Share knowledge and mentor team members to support team growth and development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. • Proficiency in software development and programming languages such as C#, .NET, Python, and web application technologies. • Strong knowledge of system analysis, application design, and problem-solving methodologies. • Experience with database design, management, and SQL development. • Familiarity with API development, integration technologies, and service-oriented architectures. • Knowledge of front-end and web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and Angular. • Experience in software testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and quality assurance practices. • Understanding of source control, DevOps, and CI/CD tools such as Git and Azure DevOps. • Awareness of cloud computing platforms and services, including Microsoft Azure and AWS. • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices. • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation while adhering to software development best practices. • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative development environments. • Understanding of artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and emerging digital technologies. • Ability to leverage AI-powered tools to enhance productivity, software development, and operational efficiency. • Capability to assess and validate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, quality, and business relevance. • Awareness of ethical, responsible, and secure use of AI technologies and data. • Ability to identify automation opportunities and contribute to process improvement initiatives. • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and continuously learn new tools, frameworks, and development practices. • Experience working in enterprise application development environments. • Exposure to cloud-native development, microservices architecture, or low-code/no-code platforms. • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar technologies.
