Pharmacy Student Relief – PRN/Nights Location: AdventHealth Shawnee Mission Schedule: PRN/Nights Job Summary The Pharmacy Student Relief supports pharmacy operations under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist by assisting with medication preparation, dispensing, distribution, charging, and delivery activities. This position provides hands-on experience in a hospital pharmacy setting while supporting safe, accurate, and efficient medication management for patients. As the student progresses through an accredited PharmD program and meets applicable regulatory requirements, opportunities may be available to participate in patient counseling and other advanced pharmacy activities. The Pharmacy Student Relief contributes to operational excellence through strong attention to detail, customer service, medication safety, and teamwork while maintaining compliance with pharmacy regulations, organizational policies, and professional standards. Essential Responsibilities
• Performs pharmacy functions requested by pharmacists and pharmacy leadership in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assists with medication preparation, dispensing, charging, and delivery activities.
• Maintains a high level of accuracy and accountability in all controlled substance transactions.
• Answers telephone calls professionally and routes inquiries appropriately.
• Restocks medication boxes, kits, trays, code carts, and related pharmacy inventory.
• Supports departmental workflow and operational efficiency.
• Maintains compliance with medication safety standards, pharmacy regulations, and organizational policies.
• Provides excellent customer service to patients, providers, and team members.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited Pharmacy (PharmD) degree program required.
Licenses and Certifications
• Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT-LIC) required or
• Pharmacy Intern (PHARMINT) required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required or
• Pharmacy Intern (PHARMINT) required.
