Job summary Children Looked After Nurse North East London NHS Foundation Trust This is an exciting opportunity to join the North East London NHS Foundation Trust as a Children Looked After Nurse, based at the Axe Street Child & Family Centre. This permanent role offers 37.5 hours per week and falls within Band 6 of the NHS pay scale, with a salary ranging from £39,959 to £48,117. Main duties of the job The Role As a Children Looked After Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of children and young people in care. Your work will ensure that each childs individual needs are met, and you will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to provide tailored care. This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people, helping them thrive and achieve their full potential.
Work closely with children and young people in care to assess and address their health needs. Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with multi-agency teams. Provide advice, support, and advocacy to ensure children and young people have access to appropriate services and resources Essential Skills and Qualifications Qualified and experienced community nurse with a valid NMC registration. Proven experience working with children looked after, demonstrating understanding of their specific needs. Strong ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and build effective relationships with children, families, and professionals.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Goodmayes Hospital. Probationary Period This post will be subject to a probationary period.
High Cost Area Supplement – Outer London (B&D, Redbridge, Havering and Waltham Forest, Goodmayes) This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,870 to a maximum of £6,137 p.a. pro rata for part time).
