Priory Hospital Kemple View has an opportunity for a HCPC registered practitioner Psychologist to join our team.
Main duties of the job
Respond to referrals promptly, carrying out comprehensive assessments to understand each clients needs and develop an appropriate, person-centred therapy programme.Deliver a range of relevant therapeutic interventions and activities designed to support and promote clients mental, emotional, physical and social wellbeing.Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, adapting interventions as needed to reflect each clients changing needs and goals.Work collaboratively with clients, families and carers to ensure therapy is meaningful, effective and focused on achieving positive outcomes.Regularly review and evaluate therapy programmes, ensuring that interventions remain appropriate and aligned with each clients individual therapy plan.You can find additional information in the attached job description

Priory Hospital Kemple View, Blackburn, Lancashire is a 90-bedded hospital providing level 2 rehabilitation and secure services for adult males with mental health conditions and/or personality disorders. It is accessible by public transport, with a local train station approximately a 3-minute drive away. Due to the location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Applicants must be Practitioner Psychologists registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)this is a mandatory requirementand Chartership with the British Psychological Society (BPS) is preferred.
This role requires a minimum of a relevant Masters degree, along with a recognised postgraduate qualification and accreditation from the appropriate professional body (BABCP, BCP, BPS or equivalent). Candidates must also demonstrate prior experience and practical exposure within their chosen field of therapy, ensuring they possess the necessary clinical competence and applied knowledge to deliver high-quality therapeutic practice.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
