An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual to join the Heart Failure team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
As the leading provider of tertiary and specialist healthcare services in Manchester, the Trust treats more than a million patients every year. You will be part of a team of 50 Consultant Cardiologists at the Manchester Heart Institute. The Cardiology department is staffed with energetic, forward-looking cardiologists, and we're looking for someone similar to join our team.
The role presents an excellent opportunity to showcase your comprehensive understanding of cardiac careand Heart Failure patients.
Informal visits are encouraged and we would welcome your interest.

To deliver excellent heart failure services, for the population of Greater Manchester and surrounding areas To contribute to the planning and development of heart failure services To support service development To provide flexible support and develop in reach services across MFT sites To support teaching and research within the department

Qualifications Essential
MB ChB or equivalent MRCP or equivalent On Speciality Register for Cardiology or CCT within 6 months of interview
Desirable
Additional higher degree (eg. MD or PhD) in a relevant subject
Experience Essential
Broad training in general cardiology and extensive training in HF Participation in clinical skills teaching programme
Desirable
Evidence of research, service development or experience in innovative technology Experience of organising teaching programmes
Ability Essential
Competent in management of acute and chronic heart failure Ability to integrate within a multidisciplinary team

Competent in another complementary sub-specialty, for example cardiac device implantation and follow-up
