Advanced Clinical Practitioner (Minor Injury and/or Minor Illness Trained) | Bracknell Urgent Care CentreUp to 40 hours available (Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
We are looking for an experienced ACP to join our Urgent Treatment Centre in Bracknell, providing autonomous, high-quality clinical care to patients of all ages. You will assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with acute, undifferentiated and chronic conditions, including minor illness and minor injury. Working within your scope of practice, you will use advanced clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning and prescribing skills to deliver safe care to all patients.
Main duties of the job
Assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with acute, undifferentiated and chronic conditions, including minor illness and minor injury.Provide autonomous clinical care to patients of all ages, including infants, within your scope of practice.Use advanced clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning and prescribing skills to deliver safe and effective patient care.Undertake appropriate investigations and develop evidence-based treatment plans.Support patient triage and streaming, identifying the most appropriate care pathway.Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, providing clinical leadership and supporting colleagues.Contribute to clinical governance, audit, quality improvement and service development.Maintain professional competence through continuing professional development and adherence to relevant professional and regulatory standards.

We have an amazing opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner trained in Minor Injuries and / or Minor Illness to join our team at Bracknell Urgent Care Centre and grow in knowledge and experience alongside our local and extended team of clinicians. Both full-time and part-time applications are welcome. Full-time hours are based on 40 hours per week. Successful candidates can be offered a combination of the following days: Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

We operate out of a modern, purpose built facility with free parking and excellent transport links. BUCC offers a high standard of unscheduled care from early morning to late evening for patients attending with a wide variety of undifferentiated conditions. The centre is staffed primarily by our team of experienced Clinicians with additional support from other clinical and non-clinical members of staff. Within our Bracknell Urgent Care Centre we are building a well-established team of Salaried GPs, ANPs, and Practice Nurses.
Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Current NMC / HCPC registration MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or Relevant ACP courses at Level 7 including recognised modules in Advanced Physical Assessment Skills (essential), Minor Injuries/Illness (essential), Disease Management, etc. A Non-medical (V300) prescribing qualification
Experience Essential
Experience in urgent / emergency care is essential
Desirable
Experience of managing acute undifferentiated presentations Ability to triage
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Essential
Understanding of autonomous practice within a minor illness/urgent care centre and the roles that deliver this Satisfactory DBS clearance
