Main duties of the job We are looking to recruit 2 Full-time staff (37.5ours per week) enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals with drive to undertake the roles of Pharmacy Stores and Warehouse Operatives based in the Pharmacy Stores and Distribution team at Moor house.

Are you a motivated individual who has good reading and numeracy skills and shows initiative? Do you have a flexible approach to your work, good communications skills and have the ability to work as part of a team?

Applicants will need to Train to be a Pharmacy Stores and Warehouse Operative over a 6-month period undertaking the Support Staff Course for Pharmacy Stock Management supported by in-house competency assessment.

It is a requirement of this role to complete the training and qualification within the first 6 months

Applicants must be able to meet the requirement for basic skills Maths and English Level 1 or equivalent.

The primary role of the Pharmacy Stores & Distribution Team is to ensure timely and accurate replenishment of pharmacy stock on wards and departments at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. This includes assembly and delivery of stock medicines to wards, departments, and our own Pharmacy areas across the Trust.

The Pharmacy Stores & Distribution team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust provide ward stock medicines top-up and delivery to wards and departments throughout the Trust via the onsite top-up teams.

The Leeds Pharmaceutical Warehouse service is predominantly concerned with receipt, storage and issue of medicines orders, with associated stock control activities.

The successful candidates must be pro-active and flexible in their approach to working within this busy department and other areas in the Stores and Distribution Services and have excellent organisational skills.

Why you should join our Team These posts will involve working with a small team of Band 2 Pharmacy Support workers, training to pick and assemble ward stock orders in the Warehouse and also when necessary learning how to Top-up wards with stock medication, delivering and putting the stock away for the ward or department.

This also includes working with the Pharmacy Stores and Distribution supervisors, Team leaders and managers.

For all posts, this will involve working across ALL sites at Leeds Teaching Hospitals as required.

Please be aware that for all posts there is a significant amount of walking and moving and handling, including bulk consignments.

The post holder will be required to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays on a rotational basis.
