About this role

Job summary

The stakeholder communications officer (internal and external) is a new role which will deliver high quality, consistent and impactful communications across the Royal Free London group and the communities it serves. Working closely with colleagues across the comms team - but in particular internal and public affairs - the postholder will help provide an effective, proactive and insight driven communications and engagement service.

You will ensure our colleagues can easily access clear, timely and meaningful information about what is happening across the trust. This includes planning and delivering internal communications activity, supporting the cascade of key organisational messages, and creating engaging content for our suite of communications channels.

You will be a well rounded communicator with excellent writing skills, creativity, resilience and strong stakeholder relationship-building abilities.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will deliver effective communications to support managers and staff across the RFL group. You will help ensure colleagues across all our hospitals and sites can easily access organisational updates and key information, while measuring impact and providing evidence-based recommendations to make our internal communications best-in-class.

Externally, you will engage with community groups, our integrated care system, charities, patient groups, councillors, and voluntary sector partners to build on our external stakeholder partnerships.
