Job Location: Douala, Cameroon About the role: The Credit Manager - Cameroon position is a field-based role under the Global Risk and Credit team in Cameroon. The role holder will oversee and manage credit risk & other risks within the Easybuy business. This role requires designing, implementing, and maintaining robust credit risk controls and operational processes to strengthen/improve the portfolio health and compliance. Assess portfolio performance: Identifying and classifying customers at risk of default through data and direct client interaction. Identification of portfolio Reflags and timely reporting of the same Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of risk indicators and portfolio performance metrics. Comprehend regional/Area trends, specific Product trends, and proposing remedies to avert any negative trends. 2. Audit & Compliance: Conduct internal audits to identify process gaps and ensure compliance with existing policies (Underwriting, Collection process, Welcome, Repossession process, Change of details, etc ) Provide detailed findings with actionable risk mitigation recommendations. 3. Collections Interventions: Engage in proactive collection strategies, i.e., ensuring KYC and Underwriting strategies aimed at enhancing the quality of clients onboarded. Generate, define, and implement field collection strategies through the field teams to improve collections. 4. Review existing policies and their impact on portfolio management and recommend adjustments or updates based on the market trends or field findings. 5. Ensure Optimization of Portfolio segmentation is achieved by assigning accounts from different buckets to specific users and propose segmentation changes where necessary. 6. Pilot Management: Ensure pilots in the field are well managed and tracked to meet the set success metrics by engaging the relevant stakeholders. 7. Fraud management: Ensure investigations into reported fraud cases are done on time, and cases are closed within SLA. 8. Reporting & Documentation : Prepare comprehensive field reports including data collation, process documentation, and operational insights. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of risk indicators and portfolio performance metrics. 9. Perform industry research , assess information collected, and propose changes that will improve the market advantage of Sun King Cameroun from both sales and collections. 10.Any other task allocated by the Credit /Risk Management team in relation to the role scope from time to time.
