Position Summary Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: The position is a support role for the CNC production area to with the main focus on cutting raw material to size, staging and receiving upcoming work in the proper locations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Safety – conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing PPE and adhering to company policy and alerting others regarding potential concerns. Safety is # 1. · Conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing PPE and adhering to company policy and alerting others regarding potential concerns. · Work with Production Scheduler, CNC Supervisor, Material Purchaser and Warehouse personnel to ensure the proper materials are identified, received and staged for saw work. · Safely set up, operate and execute material cutting to print / cut slip requirements. · Move material as necessary from receiving, storage and staging areas. · Fully trained to operate the HydMech S23-A saw. · Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections. · Performs safe operation of forklifts, overhead cranes and lifting devices. · Maintain / clean equipment and workspace and tooling and assist in maintaining consumable materials on hand necessary to perform job tasks. · Assists when needed with other miscellaneous needs including but not limited to saw material movement / operation, shop waste removal, shop area organization, etc. · Must maintain good attendance record and maintain the highest professional conduct. · Performs additional duties as assigned QUALIFACTIONS: · A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred. · Work experience and/or education in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred. · Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. is required.
