Your new role The successful candidate will directly support Assistant Vice President of Group Insurance in overseeing and optimizing the Group’s comprehensive insurance portfolio. You will act as a trusted advisor to corporate functions and business units, delivering strategic insurance advice, managing complex claims, reviewing contracts, and executing annual policy renewal, including but not limited to • Corporate Advisory: Serve as a primary point of contact to advise business units and corporate functions on insurance risk exposure, coverage strategies, and claims management. • Contract Analysis: I ndependently evaluate and negotiate insurance contract terms to safeguard company assets and mitigate liabilities in alignment with Group policy. • Broker & Insurer Management: Communicate closely with insurance brokers and insurers to negotiate competitive terms, premium rates, and cost structures, ensuring timely issuance of policies and invoices. • Risk Assessment & Site Visits: Lead periodic insurance and engineering site surveys to secure optimal underwriting outcomes prior to risk inception and policy renewals. • Financial & Executive Reporting: Leverage financial acumen to analyze insurance data, prepare budget forecasts, and design compelling executive-level presentations for senior management approval. • Renewal Underwriting: Direct end-to-end insurance renewal processes, reviewing cover notes and policy documentation to guarantee robust coverage. • Claims Management: Oversee the end-to-end claims lifecycle with insurers and loss adjusters to ensure prompt and equitable settlements. To succeed in this role • Recognized university degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline • Professional qualifications (e.g., ACII, ANZIIF, or equivalent) are highly preferred • 5-10 years of relevant corporate insurance or risk management experience, ideally within a large enterprise or regional corporate structure • Exceptional command of numbers with a demonstrated ability to interpret complex financial data, model insurance budgets, and evaluate cost-risk trade-offs • Advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint • Hands-on experience or a strong keenness to utilize AI tools for presentation creation and data visualization is a distinct advantage • Agility to adapt to evolving business needs • Strong problem-solving capabilities, and excellent negotiation skills • Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese (including Mandarin) Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Assistant Manager position
