Product Quality Engineer (PdQ) (m/w/o) Your Responsibilities Ensure and coordinate problem-solving activities in collaboration with production sites, development and the Business Unit. Support all quality-related topics associated with product design and the manufacturing concept. Monitor product quality performance in cooperation with the customer and production sites, and ensure improvements in case of defects. Ensure effective customer communication. Monitor quality target setting and implement action tracking to achieve defined targets. Consolidate and review deviation costs for products and customers, ensure all affected sites are considered, and support changes impacting multiple locations. Ensure transparent quality reporting for relevant quality KPIs of the assigned product line and support production sites in quality issues and/or customer escalations. Initiate preventive and corrective actions based on analysis results from customer failures, including 0 km and field failures, as well as production failures. Ensure compliance with legal, customer-specific quality and internal process requirements. Coordinate risk assessments for products that deviate from the design during production and ensure compliance with technical specifications in case of deviations. Actively support claim management activities. Your Profile University degree in engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering or a related technical field, or many years of specific professional experience. Many years of professional experience in quality management, quality assurance or a similar position. Very good knowledge of quality methods and tools, such as FMEA, PPAP, APQP, 8D, Six Sigma, SPC and MSA. Very good knowledge of problem-solving techniques and tools, such as Ishikawa, 5 Why, Fault Tree Analysis and A3, as well as risk management. Very good knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA and IAG standards as well as customer-specific requirements. Experience in change management. Experience in project management and confident application of the required methods and tools. Experience in industrial engineering and in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes. Product knowledge, including testing, validation and reliability testing. Knowledge of the application of statistical methods and tools. Knowledge of applicable legal requirements. High level of personal responsibility and decision-making competence in ensuring quality requirements as well as technical and material compliance. Ensure compliance with and further development of compliance and quality standards within the company.
