Technical Responsibilities Product Design & Engineering Read, interpret, and modify manufacturing and assembly drawings, engineering specifications, and 3D CAD models. Support design modifications and engineering change activities to meet product and manufacturing requirements. Ensure design documentation is accurate and up to date throughout the product development cycle. Design for Manufacturability (DFM) Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles during product development to improve manufacturability, quality, cost, and time-to-market. Identify design optimization opportunities to simplify manufacturing processes and improve product performance. Collaborate with manufacturing and supplier teams to ensure seamless transition from design to production. Prototype Development & Validation Take end-to-end ownership of prototype development activities, including planning, execution, testing, and validation. Coordinate with cross-functional teams for prototype builds, performance evaluations, and design improvements. Drive timely closure of technical issues identified during prototype evaluation. Process Capability & Quality Improvement Conduct Statistical Process Control (SPC) studies and Process Capability Analysis (Cp, Cpk) using Six Sigma methodologies. Analyze process variations and identify opportunities for quality and productivity improvement. Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Engineering Problem Solving & Process Excellence Demonstrate a strong engineering mindset to solve product and process challenges using first-principles thinking and zero-based problem-solving approaches. Analyze manufacturing and product performance issues by challenging existing assumptions and identifying the fundamental root causes. Develop innovative, data-driven solutions to improve process efficiency, product quality, reliability, and cost competitiveness. Apply engineering fundamentals, statistical analysis, and scientific methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Lead structured problem-solving activities using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, DOE, FMEA, and Six Sigma methodologies. Data Analysis & Product Lifecycle Management Utilize analytical and statistical tools to evaluate prototype and manufacturing data. Monitor product performance throughout the product lifecycle and recommend continuous improvements. Prepare technical reports, performance analyses, validation reports, and management presentations.
