Your future team The regulatory landscape around corporate sustainability is evolving at an unprecedented pace, placing ESG reporting quality and independent assurance at the heart of investor and stakeholder confidence. Deloitte Luxembourg's Audit & Assurance practice is actively growing its Sustainability & Specialized Assurance team to help organisations navigate, manage and report on their sustainability performance with quality and rigor. Our client base spans financial services, corporate and industrial sectors, as well as public and international organizations. As a Senior ESG Assurance professional, you will play a central role in the planning and delivery of ESG assurance and advisory engagements for Luxembourgish and international clients. You will act as a key point of technical reference within the team, coordinate the work of junior colleagues, and actively contribute to the growth of our ESG offering — operating with a higher degree of autonomy while working in close collaboration with managers and partners. Your next challenge Lead high-impact ESG engagements alongside recognized experts in a dynamic and innovative team Work at the forefront of European sustainability regulation and reporting, across diverse industries and organizations Shape the development of a growing and purpose-driven ESG assurance and advisory offering Grow your career through Deloitte’s world-class learning ecosystem, including sustainability-specific trainings, certifications and leadership programmes Thrive in an inclusive, multicultural environment where diverse perspectives fuel collaboration and innovation How you’ll contribute to our success Plan, manage and deliver ESG and sustainability assurance engagements on CSRD/ESRS, SFDR, EU Taxonomy and related disclosures, in close collaboration with managers Act as a technical reference point on key ESG regulatory topics, ESG data governance and internal control frameworks for the team and clients Oversee and perform the review and testing of ESG data and KPIs (e.g. GHG emissions, environmental metrics, workforce and diversity indicators, EU Taxonomy KPIs), ensuring robust methodologies and data quality Serve as day-to-day contact for client teams, contributing to workshops, steering meetings and presentations, and building trusted relationships with stakeholders Support business development by contributing to proposals, sector-specific offerings and thought leadership on climate, social and broader ESG and regulatory topics Where relevant, support other Audit & Assurance teams — including Accounting & Reporting Advisory, and Controls Assurance — on cross-functional engagements Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders across the firm, working alongside others on sustainability matters as the team continues to grow Your skills Must have Master’s degree in sustainability, economics, finance, accounting or a similar field 3–4 years of experience in Sustainability or Sustainable Finance, either in-house or in professional services, including sustainability reporting, KPI definition and monitoring; audit/assurance exposure is an asset Strong knowledge of non-financial (ESG) regulatory topics, including CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy and SFDR, and experience embedding sustainability across the corporate value chain Proven planning and project management skills in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, with strong quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities and attention to detail Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) and strong command of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), including comfort working with data in Excel (e.g. pivot tables, formulas, data validation) Nice to have Experience in or familiarity with voluntary sustainability frameworks (e.g. UN SDGs, UN Global Compact, GRI, TCFD, TNFD, UN PRI) Additional languages, notably Luxembourgish or French Ability to think creatively, generate innovative ideas and challenge the status quo while delivering effectively under evolving and sometimes ambiguous requirements Soft skills Collaborative mindset with the ability to build and sustain relationships with diverse stakeholders Structured, detail-oriented and solution-focused approach, comfortable working with large and complex data sets Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly Proven capability to coach and mentor junior team members and contribute to a positive, high-performance team culture IT skills Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), particularly for data analysis and preparation of client deliverables Curiosity and openness toward digital tools, data analytics and AI-enabled solutions to enhance ESG assurance work Languages English: full professional proficiency (required) Additional languages (e.g. Luxembourgish, French or others): considered an asset What impact will you make?
