About this role

KPMG is currently seeking a Workbench Tech Risk Lead to join our Digital Nexus Technology organization. This is a hybrid work opportunity.

Global 16.6.4 Governance Oversight

• Serve as the single point of accountability for embedding technology risk, legal, security, privacy, and Trusted AI controls across the Global Workbench Program, including Core Platform and aIQ Chat workstreams. • Interpret and apply KPMG’s 16.6.4 global governance framework, ensuring Workbench platforms, applications, agents, integrations, prompts, personas, and data flows meet required compliance and risk standards. • Own and coordinate end-to-end 16.6.4 engagement processes, including release creation in KiEPS, risk reviews, formal approvals, and governance checkpoints for releases, integrations, and data flows. • Conduct and coordinate risk and compliance assessments for new and enhanced Workbench capabilities, ensuring regulatory and data protection considerations are addressed before deployment. • Liaise with Global Risk, Legal and Privacy through IOGC, GISG, Trusted AI, product owners, solution architects, engineering leads, the Release Manager, and PMO to secure timely approvals, sign-offs, and formal risk positions. • Embed 16.6.4 requirements into the Workbench SDLC and release lifecycle, aligning risk activities with UAT and production deployment timelines to prevent late-stage approval risks or release delays. • Maintain complete, current, traceable, and audit-ready evidence while providing regular compliance status, risks, dependencies, and escalations to the Program Manager, PMO, and program leadership.

• Minimum eight years of recent experience in technology risk, governance, compliance, information security, privacy, audit readiness, or technology delivery within complex enterprise environments; AI platform or emerging technology experience is preferred.

• Strong understanding of technology risk management, SDLC controls, legal and privacy review processes, information security requirements, data protection considerations, and responsible or Trusted AI governance.

• Proven experience coordinating enterprise governance approvals, risk assessments, formal sign-offs, evidence packages, and audit-ready documentation across global, cross-functional programs.

• Highly detail-oriented, structured, and organized, with the ability to manage complex dependencies, track actions through closure, and maintain clear status reporting across release milestones.

• Demonstrated ability to influence and coordinate with senior stakeholders across Global Risk, Legal, Privacy, GISG, Trusted AI, PMO, Product, Architecture, Engineering, and Release Management teams.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex risk and compliance requirements into clear, actionable guidance for technical teams and program leadership.

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; relevant credentials in risk, security, privacy, audit, or AI governance are preferred.
