AutoZone's Sr. UX Designer for Digital Content is a senior-level role that leads our visual design for digital marketing while grounding every decision in a strong user experience (UX) foundation. You will be responsible for creating high-impact digital campaigns, promotional assets, and engaging web experiences that drive business results. As a creative leader on the team, you will blend brand expression with user-centered design principles, taking projects from initial concept and research through to high-fidelity execution
• Creative Execution: Lead the visual design and creative execution of promotional campaigns, landing pages, and interactive elements for our website. • On-Site Content Design: Design and build a range of high-impact promotional assets, including landing pages and web banners, that live within the AutoZone website. • Brand & On-Site Content Strategy: Evolve and apply AutoZone’s brand and visual identity specifically for on-site content and promotional experiences. Take ownership of complex creative projects for the website, ensuring a high level of quality and consistency from concept to delivery. • User Advocacy: Champion with a user-centered approach, ensuring that compelling visuals are also intuitive, accessible, and solve real customer problems. • Strategic Design: Balance business goals, marketing requirements, and user needs to deliver effective and cohesive end-to-end digital experiences. • Continuous Learning: Continuously pursue knowledge of the latest design trends, marketing strategies, and UX best practices to elevate the team’s work. • Innovation & Ideation: Drive insights by exploring new design concepts, technologies, and innovative approaches to solve business problems and enhance the on-site customer experience. • UX & Interaction Design: Lead the UX process for key projects by defining user journeys, creating wireframes, and solving complex interaction challenges. • Research & Data: Leverage competitive analysis, user research, and performance data (like A/B test results) to inform design decisions and iterate on creative work. • Mentorship & Management: Formally mentor junior and mid-level designers, providing constructive feedback and guiding their career development. This role may include direct management responsibilities to oversee work and foster a culture of growth within the team.
• Visual Design Expertise: An expert-level grasp of layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy, specifically for digital marketing and conversion-focused design.
• UX Strategy & Process: Advanced knowledge of UX principles, interaction design, and user-centered design methodologies. Ability to translate user needs into practical design solutions.
• Stakeholder Presentation & Communication: A confident and articulate presenter with the ability to clearly communicate complex design concepts, strategic rationale, and data-driven insights to stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Data-Informed Design: Experience with A/B testing methodologies and the ability to interpret performance data to justify and improve design work.
• Technical Understanding: A basic understanding of HTML and CSS to effectively collaborate with developers and understand technical constraints.
• Communication & Storytelling: Confident ability to articulate the reasoning behind visual and UX design choices for a variety of audiences.
