Key Responsibilities
• BOM Margin Analysis
Own BOM-level costing and margin analysis by product, SKU, and platform.
Analyze material cost drivers including price variance, usage variance, yield losses, and design inefficiencies.
Partner with Engineering on Value Engineering savings SKU Wise
Support Supply Chain with should-cost models, localization efforts, and vendor cost evaluations.
Provide clear explanations for margin differences across similar products or BOM structures.
• Non-BOM Margin Analysis
Own detailed analysis of conversion costs, overhead absorption, freight, duty, logistics, scrap, rework, warranty, and service costs.
Distinguish between structural and controllable costs and highlight margin leakages with quantified impact.
• Margin Bridge & Performance Analysis
Prepare BOM vs Non-BOM margin bridges for Budget vs Actual and YoY analysis.
Support price–cost–mix and volume analysis, bid reviews, and margin commitments.
Present clear, business-oriented insights to senior management.
Analysis of Entry Margins & Exit Margins for all major Orders .
Weekly & Monthly summary of Product Wise margins to Management along with key pointers compared to Management
• Inventory Valuation & Cost Governance
Ensure accuracy of BOMs, routings, and overhead rates in ERP system .
Own inventory valuation for Raw Materials, WIP, and Finished Goods.
Drive slow-moving and obsolete inventory analysis with a margin impact lens.
Support internal and external audits related to costing and inventory.
• Business Partnering & Leadership
Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain to drive cost and margin improvement initiatives.
Act as a strong, independent finance partner capable of challenging assumptions with data.
Lead, coach, and develop costing Team members down the line .
Candidate Profile
• 12 plus years of post-qualification experience in Core Costing Profile in Manufacturing Industry (Engineering preferred) • Strong expertise in BOM analysis , Inventory Accounting, Variance Analysis • Should be a good Individual Contributor as well as a good team leader • Hands-on experience with Oracle and advanced Excel. • Good Presentation & Communication skills • Should have Plant – Exposure • CA / CMA
