Staff Chaplain is responsible for the provision of professional spiritual care to meet the needs of patients, families, and staff regardless of age, race, gender, ethnicity, or religious preference. Chaplain serves alongside interdisciplinary health care colleagues to create holistic care community to provide whole person care within the facility they serve. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited college or university. Graduate professional degree from an accredited theological school. Four Units of certified Clinical Pastoral Education through ACPE, Inc., or NACC. PREFERRED EDUCATION: Master of Divinity degree from an accredited theological school. One year residency from an accredited ACPE center MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Pastoral and/or chaplaincy experience of one year. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Clinical pastoral experience of two (2) years. Bilingual (Spanish/English). Pastoral and/or chaplaincy experience of two (2) years. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Association of Professional Chaplains board certification (BCC) eligible; and ecclesiastical endorsement. PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Certification (BCC) by the Association of Professional Chaplains or an affiliate cognate group. REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): NA #LI-GF2
