About this role
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Execute engineering tasks as assigned by Lead, Senior, or Principal Engineers across various project phases including feasibility studies, conceptual design, FEED, detailed design, and EPC/EPCM for both onshore and offshore projects.
• Ensure high technical quality, accuracy, and timely completion of assigned deliverables.
• Coordinate with internal departments, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and third parties as directed by the Lead Engineer.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, project reviews, client discussions, and vendor engagements when requested.
• Support proposal development and cost estimation activities under the guidance of Lead/Senior/Principal Engineers.
• Perform intermediate checking of engineering deliverables when assigned.
• Primary involvement in a typical project includes:
- Selection, sizing, and engineering of rotating equipment and/or packaged systems.
- Conduct site visits (onshore/offshore) as required.
- Prepare mechanical data sheets, specifications, and requisition/enquiry packages.
- Review vendor proposals, prepare technical clarifications, and conduct technical bid evaluations.
- Review vendor drawings/documents and incorporate vendor data into project deliverables.
- Develop supporting documents such as equipment lists, material handling studies, and design adequacy reports.
- Review interdisciplinary documents including P&IDs, equipment layouts, and foundation drawings.
- Witness shop inspections and equipment testing.
- Assist in plant erection, commissioning, and start-up activities.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Possession of a Level-I Professional Engineering License from the Council of Engineers of Thailand (preferred).
• 2–4 years of experience in mechanical equipment design and engineering within Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, Chemical, or related industries.
• Strong motivation and eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Familiarity with local and international codes and standards such as API, ASTM, ASME, ANSI, TEMA, ISO, ASHRAE, ARI, NFPA, UL, FM, etc., relevant to rotating equipment.
• Knowledge of machine noise and vibration analysis, as well as auxiliary systems (e.g., seal oil, lube oil, shaft sealing, drives).
• Proficiency in MS Office and mechanical equipment design software/tools.
