About this role
The Materials Management Department (MMD) is seeking a Missionary Travel Coordinator based in Tonga. This position is permanent full-time reporting to the Area Travel Manager. This role will represent the Church by managing complex international travel and documentation for missionaries, Church employees, and leaders. Working closely with pre‑field missionaries, mission offices, MTCs, and government and consular agencies in Tonga, will deliver professional, responsive service that ensures a smooth travel experience and positively reflects the Church within the community.
• Represent the Church while coordinating travel for Tongan pre‑field missionaries, Church employees, and leaders
• Manage complex international travel arrangements and required documentation
• Work closely with mission offices, MTCs, local government agencies, consulates, and immigration offices
• Communicate in a professional, friendly, and competent manner at all times
• Deliver responsive, high‑quality service to ensure smooth and reliable travel experiences
• Positively influence and uphold the reputation of the Church within the wider community
• Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of travel industry experience (or related experience) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Church travel services experience preferred
• Travel University Specialist Certification (or equivalent) preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to train, lead, and motivate others
• Capable of managing a high-volume workload and special projects
• Identifies process improvements and drives change
• Available for after-hours support when required
• Demonstrates professionalism and high performance
• Proof of Legal Right to Work in Tonga
• A police background check may be required
