Main responsibilities:

• Position Purpose The Assistant Store Director supports the Store Director in all aspects of store operations, ensuring a safe, productive, and customer-focused environment. This position assists in driving sales, achieving operational goals, developing associates, and delivering an exceptional shopping experience. The Assistant Store Director serves as a key member of the store leadership team and assumes responsibility for store operations in the absence of the Store Director. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development • Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training store associates. • Provide daily leadership, coaching, and performance feedback to department managers and associates. • Foster a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment. • Support succession planning and associate development initiatives. • Promote company values, policies, and operational standards. Store Operations • Assist in managing day-to-day store operations to ensure efficiency and profitability. • Monitor store conditions, merchandising standards, and overall presentation. • Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety requirements, and regulatory standards. • Support department managers in achieving operational and financial objectives. • Respond to operational challenges and implement corrective actions as needed. Customer Service • Champion a culture of outstanding customer service throughout the store. • Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally. • Monitor customer satisfaction and implement improvements to enhance the shopping experience. • Ensure associates consistently provide friendly and helpful service. Financial Performance • Assist in achieving sales, labor, expense, and profitability goals. • Review financial reports and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement. • Support inventory management, shrink reduction, and expense control efforts. • Drive sales through effective merchandising, promotional execution, and customer engagement. Safety & Compliance • Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and associates. • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety programs. • Conduct routine inspections and follow up on identified concerns. • Support asset protection and loss prevention initiatives. Administrative Duties • Assist with scheduling, payroll review, and labor management. • Maintain accurate operational records and documentation. • Support communication between store leadership, district leadership, and store associates. • Participate in meetings, store walks, and operational reviews.
