About this role
Store Operations Management
• Oversee day-to-day store and warehouse activities.
• Ensure proper receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials.
• Maintain systematic storage practices for easy identification and retrieval of materials.
• Monitor stock movement and prevent material deterioration, loss, or pilferage.
Inventory Control
• Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/SAP systems.
• Conduct periodic cycle counts and annual physical verification.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement for replenishment.
• Identify slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory and recommend disposal actions.
Material Management
• Verify material receipt against purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Ensure timely issuance of materials to user departments.
• Maintain proper documentation for inward and outward material movements.
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for smooth material flow.
ERP & Documentation
• Update inventory transactions in SAP/ERP systems.
• Generate stock reports, inventory valuation reports, and MIS reports.
• Maintain proper records of GRN, material issue notes, gate passes, and stock registers.
• Ensure compliance with audit requirements and documentation standards.
Team Management
• Lead and supervise store personnel and warehouse staff.
• Allocate work and monitor team performance.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and safety protocols.
• Provide guidance and training to store team members.
Safety & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with EHS guidelines and warehouse safety standards.
• Implement proper housekeeping practices within the store premises.
• Ensure safe handling and storage of hazardous and critical materials.
• Support internal and external audits.
Educational Qualification
• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related discipline.
• MBA/PG Diploma in Supply Chain Management will be preferred.
Experience
• 8–15 years of experience in Store, Warehouse, Inventory, or Materials Management.
• Experience in Power Plant, Manufacturing, Steel, Cement, Infrastructure, or Heavy Engineering Industry preferred.
