We have an exciting opportunity for a Plant Operator to join our Quarry team based in Puketona, Bay of Islands This role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a desire to learn from experienced industry professionals. Full training will be provided, making this a great opportunity for someone wanting to develop their skills and progress within the business. About the Role As a Plant Operator, you will be primarily responsible for operating and monitoring the quarry crusher plant while supporting the wider quarry operations team. You'll work closely with experienced operators who will provide hands-on training and mentorship. What You'll Be Doing
• Operating and monitoring crusher plant equipment • Assisting with daily quarry operations • Carrying out routine equipment inspections and maintenance • Using hand and power tools safely and effectively • Troubleshooting basic mechanical issues • Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment • Learning from experienced operators and developing new skills What We're Looking For
• Minimum Class 1 Driver Licence • Previous plant operation experience is advantageous but not essential • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in machinery • Comfortable using hand and power tools • Positive attitude and willingness to learn • Strong commitment to health and safety • Reliable, hardworking, and a team player What's on Offer
