Job Requirements Serves as a liaison between the physician’s practice and future, current, and former patients. Provides accurate information about the surgeon, the practice and the anticipated procedures. Minimum Requirements Education · High School Diploma Experience · Three to five years with increased responsibility in a surgical practice or customer service- oriented position License/Registration/Certifications · MA/LPN/RTR · CPR Certification Preferred Requirements Preferred Education · Associate degree Preferred Experience · Surgery office experience · Experience creating or developing marketing or sales programs Preferred License/Registration/Certifications · N/A Core Job Responsibilities · Facilitates the surgeon’s consultation with the patient by providing both pre-and postoperative information, effective fee quoting, and scheduling optimization. · Briefs patients with procedures of interest · Consults surgical quotes · Books surgery dates · Collects payments · Establishes rapport with patients. · Follows up with prospects, tracks patients, sends correspondence, handles cancellations/rescheduling, assists doctor during consultation and evaluation, and other office administrative duties. · Crossover into nursing duties as needed. · Perform other duties as assigned. · Must be in good physical condition and able to withstand the stress and demands of an active position. · Manual dexterity, good eye/hand coordination and acceptable vision needed in daily work. · Must have strong knowledge of organizational dynamics and have excellent communication/coaching skills. · Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, the public, and other agencies. · Must be able to respond calmly and efficiently in crisis situations. · Effective verbal and written communication skills based on the command of the English language. · Must be able to perform the following functions: standing for long hours, walking, stooping, bending, sitting, pushing, pulling, and squatting.
• Must be able to lift 30+ lbs. in order to lift/move patients, equipment, and/or supplies utilized in the work place
