As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room, you’ll bring your perioperative expertise to a collaborative team delivering complex surgical care across a diverse range of specialties. You’ll play an essential role in patient safety, surgical efficiency, and exceptional outcomes while continuing to expand your clinical expertise within a Level II Trauma Center and teaching hospital. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Operating Room RN with strong scrub and circulating experience who is seeking a dynamic surgical environment, exposure to advanced procedures, and meaningful opportunities for continued professional growth. Schedule: Part-Time | 8:45 PM to 7:15 AM | Every Thursday and Friday

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. These are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by personnel so classified. • Deliver independent, high-quality perioperative care across a broad range of surgical cases; anticipate needs, prioritize effectively, and drive safe, efficient case flow. • Scrub and circulate surgical cases, maintaining accountability for patient safety, clinical outcomes, and continuity of care throughout the surgical episode. • Demonstrate the ability to independently circulate and effectively scrub across surgical specialties in a fast-paced, high-acuity OR environment. • Coordinate seamlessly with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the interdisciplinary team to support case progression, patient status, and intraoperative needs. • Apply evidence-based practice in real time and serve as a clinical resource during complex or high-acuity situations. • Contribute directly to quality outcomes through NSQI participation, effective handoff practices, and strict medication safety standards. • Maintain full regulatory compliance; support audit readiness and uphold all clinical, safety, and documentation standards. • Perform other duties as assigned. Schedule: Part-Time | 8:45 PM to 7:15 AM | Every Thursday and Friday

LICENSURE & EXPERIENCE: • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maryland or Compact eligibility in accordance with MBON, required. • Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, required. • Minimum of 2–3 years of Operating Room RN experience, required. • Prior scrub and circulating experience, required. • Proven ability to independently circulate surgical cases in a fast-paced OR environment. • Trauma experience, preferred. • High-acuity experience and strong clinical judgment in complex surgical settings strongly preferred. • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
