Job Title: Material HandlerJob DescriptionThe position requires prior experience as a material handler/packer/processing orders and using basic computer functions to track inventory. Responsibilities
• Perform shipping and receiving tasks directly when needed, including preparing packages, labeling, and verifying shipment details. • Use FedEx and UPS software to process orders • Operate sit-down forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload materials safely occassionally. • Palletize materials and organize inventory in designated storage areas to maintain an orderly warehouse environment. • Perform data entry related to purchase orders, shipping, and receiving activities using computer systems and SAP. • Verify incoming and outgoing materials against purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy. • Follow established safety procedures and guidelines while operating equipment and performing all material handling tasks. Essential Skills
• At least 1 years of experience working with FedEx shipping systems (Recommended but not needed). • At least 1 years of experience working with UPS shipping systems (Recommended but not needed). • Proficiency using a computer for data entry and documentation. • Ability to use FedEx and UPS software for processing shipments. • Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including handling purchase orders. • Ability to operate a sit-down forklift safely and effectively. • Experience with palletizing materials and organizing inventory. • Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise systems for tracking materials and transactions. The setting emphasizes safety, adherence to procedures, and efficient material flow throughout the facility. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of East Hartford, CT. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.66 - $22.66/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
