RN Supervisor, Day Surgery Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Temple, Texas Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Temple is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital, Magnet-designated, and the only Level I Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin. We are seeking an experienced nurse leader to join our Perioperative Services leadership team as a Day Surgery Supervisor. Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM About the Department Our Day Surgery unit includes both Pre-Op and Post-Op services, with 38 shared beds supporting a high-volume surgical program.
• Approximately 80 patients cared for daily in Pre-Op • Approximately 40 patients discharged daily from Post-Op • Team consists of: • 14 Pre-Op RNs • 7 Post-Op RNs

Job Summary Your role as Nursing Supervisor involves supervising healthcare professionals and ensuring high patient care levels. Maintain a safe environment and nurture nursing practice to improve patient outcomes. Oversee operations, productivity, and resource distribution to meet department priorities. • Working closely with members from different professional fields to ensure coordinated patient care. • Assessing how effective the nursing practices are and infusing practices and research discoveries that are evidence-based. • Fostering a caring and outcome-promoting environment. • Encouraging development and opening up growth opportunities for staff members. • Efficiently managing resources to promote safety within the healthcare system. • EDUCATION - Associate's Degree • MAJOR - Nursing • EXPERIENCE - (2) Two Years of Experience • CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -Registered Nurse (RN) • Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer.
