Engineering Project Manager Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead the development, manufacturing, and sustainment of advanced aerospace products and systems. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, this individual will drive cross-functional projects from planning and design through production and ongoing support.The ideal candidate combines a strong engineering background with proven project management experience and the ability to coordinate teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and operations.This is a fully onsite position located in the Bingen, WA / Hood River, OR area. Candidates must be able to work onsite and collaborate closely with engineering and production teams. Key Responsibilities Project Management (90%)
• Develop and maintain project schedules, risk registers, and issue tracking tools. • Manage projects through all phases of the product lifecycle, from planning and development to production and sustainment. • Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones and deliverables. • Facilitate project meetings and provide regular status updates to stakeholders. • Track risks, dependencies, resources, budgets, and schedules to ensure project success. • Create and maintain work breakdown structures (WBS), project plans, and supporting documentation. • Support manufacturing readiness, testing activities, configuration management, and production launches. • Prepare project reports and presentations for leadership reviews. Process Improvement (5%)
• Drive continuous improvement of project management processes, tools, and best practices. • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and project execution. Technical & Administrative Support (5%)
• Support engineering change management and project documentation. • Assist teams with technical and administrative project needs as required. Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. • 8+ years of experience in engineering, product development, or project management. • Experience leading complex engineering projects through the product development lifecycle. • Proficiency with Microsoft Project or similar project management tools. • Strong knowledge of project scheduling, risk management, resource planning, and cost tracking. • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications
• Aerospace or defense industry experience. • Experience with ERP, PDM, or PLM systems. • PMP certification or formal project management training. • Experience supporting highly regulated engineering or software development environments. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Bingen, WA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $143000.00 - $229000.00/yr.
